Cupcake Tree!!

Wondering where I have been??? Deep in the pages of the new (SU) Stampin' Up! catalog of course! I received my copy early because I am a demonstrator. Awwww, the perks of being a demonstrator! ;-) I was thrilled to see that "Season Of Friendship" from the Holiday Mini catalog was included in the upcoming 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog! I have seen this set used in so many ways. It's extremely versatile.

I had a card class with an *AWESOME & FUN* group of friends this past weekend and one of the ladies just had a birthday. She is a dog person and *LOVES* Penny Black images. Who am I kidding....I love Penny Black images too! I wanted to make a unique birthday card for her with Penny Black puppies and this is what I came up with. A Cupcake Tree! Isn't it the cutest!! The tiny cupcakes are from the "Short & Sweet" stamp set. The larger cupcake image is from the "Cupcake" wheel previously used on this card here. CUPCAKE WHEEL CARD Used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the leaves and cupcakes perfectly. The pups are Penny Black on watercolor paper. Cut out the pups, cupcakes and add pop-dots for dimension. SU Exclusive Top Note die cut to frame the Cupcake Tree scene and hand drew the blades of grass with SU markers.

Bali Breeze Field of Flowers

I had to create a project with Aqua and Peach for color challenge due this weekend. First I chose a retired Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up! The colors were perfect! Then a scene came to mind with sweet Miss Anya. I wanted to incorporate Miss Anya in a field of flowers and throw in some candy that matched the challenge colors. I came across this awesome tutorial and knew I had to make one! My box is a tiny bit different. The top flap is a little shorter and I used Stampin' Up's slit punch for holding the lid flap. SU ribbon, card stock, & trio flower punch. The longest strip of grass I hand cut and added some pieces from Sizzix grass die. I colored her with my SU markers and added eye shadow! It's sparkles when you see it in real life. ;-)

Here is the tutorial if you want to make one for yourself. Box tutorial

Stop by her blog and let your know how wonderful she is for taking the time to create this tutorial.

Girly Baby Shower gift

I created this Baby Girl gift set for a baby shower gift. The nursery is done in pink and brown. I recycled a lovely container I purchased two years ago that originally held velvet Prima's adorned with rhinestones. The packaging was just too pretty to throw out and it is a perfect gift box for my set of hand-made baby onesie "Thank You" cards. The metal border of the gift box is embossed with flowers! Stampin' Up! designer paper and matching card stock made it so easy to quickly reproduce these onesie cards. Pretty In Pink card stock, Candy Lane designer paper and the Oval All stamp set.

I have been wanting to make these adorable baby dress cards for a while and this gift was a perfect reason to finally make one. I made two from one 12 x 12 sheet of designer paper from Cloud9Design. This darling dress template is from Stampers Sampler December/January 2007 issue. DRESS LINK HERE Attach the card to the front of the gift box, add some matching ribbon and it is ready! Isn't this fabulous!! :-)

Baby Boy Mini Album

I had the privilege of being adopted by a local Stampin' Up! demonstrator. She is a total sweetheart and a huge source of information as well as inspiration. She shared instructions for a 10 X 10 foldover album recently. I tweaked the dimensions a bit...no surprise, right? I'm known for not following instructions. tee hee

Here it is!! My very first completed Mini Scrapbook Album! The name on the front is just temporary. I can add any name I want. I had a blast creating this. Each page is 5" in size. I added places for journaling. All the animals are meticulously hand shaded and pieced. This would be a great baby shower gift!! Unique, handmade and one-of-a-kind, no doubt about it. What have you created lately?

Some Bunny Special

I am truly blessed with some very talented friends. When I found out one of my friends purchased this same bunny die I thought it would be fun to create a 3-D item and swap Easter goodies. This is just ONE of the items I received in the swap. She totally went overboard and spoiled me to the max. I decided to stop hoarding this precious eye candy and share with my blogging buddies. It sits on my desk and I can see it every day.

Isn't this ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's wraps around a cellophane bag filled with Hershey's chocolate nuggets. I was a bad swapper and ate the chocolate in hers before we swapped. tee hee.....me and chocolate never seem to last very long. I hope she doesn't hold that against me. I can't help it....it's an addiction you know. ;-)

Great Friend

My new favorite set!! From the Occasions Mini Catalog this stamp set is *Great Friend* item 113792 and is only available until June 30th. I used my Pretty In Pink marker to outline the frame for the sentiment. I love how this makes it pop!! The decorative border to the left of the Tea Party designer paper is created with the Eyelet Border Punch. The butterfly is embossed with the Iridescent Ice embossing powder. Very sparkly in person.

What is your current favorite set??
